YUKO HASEGAWA
Designer Yuko Hasegawa knows the importance visual
communication. As an editorial illustrator with the Los
Angeles Times, it was her job to create pictures that were
literally "worth a thousand words". She had to describe
complex stories with just a single illustration. "You get
one shot to visually communicate a concept to readers, and
grab their attention," she explains. Her talents landed her
illustration jobs with more newspapers, magazines, and toy
companies. Yuko earned degrees from two prestigious art
schools, California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in
Character Animation, and Art Center College of Design in
Pasadena, California with a BFA in Illustration. You can see
the merging of the two disciplines in her expressive,
dimensional character designs. |
